I mentioned in a recent post that I rarely get sick. True. And when I do, it happens only towards the end of the year, usually in December during Christmas.
This year, it came slightly earlier than the usual. I have been nursing some head cold and a bit of cough for almost a week now. […] Read more »

The bug BIT me! The unpredictable weather here in Brunei coupled with some stress at work has got me . . . I rarely get sick but when I do I am almost naghihingalo na and I for one do not like taking any medication at all! The other night, much against my will, I took one when I couldn’t bear the pain any longer, only to find out later that the medicine was expired! LOL! Anyway, the medicine did bring some relief — muscle pains and headache were gone in almost an hour’s time. I consulted the nurse yesterday and was told that it was ok as long as it wasn’t antibiotics I’ve taken. Phew!
This morning, I woke up with, again, a heavy head, runny nose, and muscle pains. Feeling weak and lazy to call the nurse, I drank some more of the expired medicine and went to bed again! Earlier this evening, my pinoy colleague and recent guest blogger Jovic dropped by with some “unexpired” medicine [LOL!] and food!
He wanted to cook some chicken soup but instead, ended up cooking Sinigang na Baboy and some more Leftover Turkey! Didn’t we have this only a few days ago? LOL!
Wonder where he got the turkey from when we do not even celebrate Thanksgiving Day? Well, a satisfied and happy function organizer at the hotel sent a whole roasted young turkey to his place Monday night. It was left untouched in the freezer and he experimented on some leftover recipe last Thursday.
Anyway, here’s the turkey for the second time around . . .
