When Ces posted a note on my Facebook’s Fun Wall last night about this week’s La.Pi.S theme, I was suddenly reminded of two pending posts. So for my entry, I am using some photos that are intended to accompany those posts – hopefully to be up within next week.
First off are photos taken from my recent trip to the Maldives.

Above: The fourteen-seat Ithaa Restaurant at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. Ithaa Restaurant prides itself as the world’s first and only aquarium-style undersea restaurant – built in the open sea waters. It affords diners stunning views of the surrounding reefs and of course, schools of fish!

At Ithaa, diners enjoy a culinary journey that is of a ‘contemporary Maldivian’ flavour. Above: Reef Fish with Grape, Almond and Saffron Reduction.
And . . .
Some photos from our most recent business trip to Hong Kong where, we had the opportunity to feast on the bounty of the seas at Lei Yue Mun, a small fishing village located on the Kowloon side of the narrow eastern entrance to Hong Kong Harbour.

Shell fish galore! A variety of fresh shell fish from different parts of the world! Note the giant bamboo clams (about 8 inches long) on the left, imported from the United Kingdom.

The cooked bamboo clams in black bean, garlic, and chili sauce. To-die-for!
